Collapsing stairs

I vaguely remember this dream however, my partner William and I walked into this huge apartment building, it was very tall into the sky and I believe the color was golden brown. We climbed up one flight of stairs leading to the entrance then we reached another staircase. As we climbed up the final staircase, every time we reached the top the staircase would collapse backwards taking us back to the ground. Every time we went backwards I’ve become frightened with tears but William always made sure we landed safely but we didn’t give up, we keep trying until the last time we reached the top the staircase was more stable. I saw three small windows, one to our left, one in the middle and one to our right and they were all labeled, however I only remember the the window in the middle was colored blue with the word PRAY on top of it. I think the other windows were colored red. William wanted to enter through the window to our left because he thought it was closest, however I thought the window in the middle that read pray was easiest to climb through. I saw a man go through window pray and William and I followed behind him through that window. We sat on the floor holding hands as I asked William to please just pray with me and he looked at me with willing eyes then I think we kissed each other and there was saliva coming from our mouths and that’s all I remember.
