Talking In Mass

I went into a church with my mom to join mass but I felt uncomfortable and confused and wanted to go home. I whispered something to my mom and the priest got irritated. He brought me a book and I didn't understand what he wanted me to do with it. It was like an encyclopedia with pictures in it. There was a little girl named Gabija on the page, dressed in first communion clothes, but my first thought was the Lithuanian pagan goddess of fire & the hearth, because I know that's her name. I tried to talk to my mom again to get her opinion & thoughts about what was going on. There was a younger man who was irritated with me talking through mass. There was a very classroom vibe and I was planning to leave but wasn't sure which door I should use, I didn't want to draw more attention than I already did. They clearly wanted me to leave anyway.
