Undercover officer

So there was a knock at the door. I answer it and its this man and says "Hi, I'm not a cop or anything, I'm doing a tiktok thing. Have you ever got banned from any websites?" I think about it for a while and sat "not really, maybe a torrent site because I torrent movies". He is like "ok" and walks off. The car is parked in the driveway and I can see in the passenger seat there is a woman. The man says something to the woman and she writes something in a notebook. At that point i realise they are cops. I'm furious so I go up to the car and bang loudly on the window for them to get out. The woman steps out. She is in a full police uniform. "What do you want?" she says "Can i have your name and badge number?" I sat. She does tell me her name and badge number but I can't remember what they were. "Who is your partner? Is he a cop too? What's his name and badge number?" I say. "Yes he is a cop but he is a lower ranking than me." She also gives me the man's name and badge number. "Why did you say you weren't police? Surely that's illegal?" I ask. I can't remember her response but eventually the argument fizzles out and she gets back in the car and they drive off.
