Melting the House
I had woke up in my room and felt everything was normal except something felt different I got up to stand by the window and stare outside. I realized I never really do this and figured something was different about this morning. I felt I could be dreaming, looked at my hands and they were a bit distorted. I looked at the walls and felt I could do something to confirm I was dreaming so I decided to go through one. I ended up going through the wall into the other room and return back into my room. It worked and I knew I was dreaming. I then decided to walk up the hallway into the kitchen and out the side door. I was staring at the side of my home and decided to look towards the back in case my brother was there so I can try to show him I knew we were in a dream. He wasnt but decided to do something so I placed my hand on my home with the intension of melting a part of it just to see if I could. It worked then I decided to let it go from a melt to burning and it did. I then decided to walk towards the back. The backhouse where by brother stayed had the door open. I figured my brother was in there and yelled "hey, this is a dream, were in a dream right now" Climbed up the roof and decided I would try something else. I decided to fly, it worked and I immedietly thought to fly over to my old high school since I used to walk from school at one time everyday, flying should be easy. I made it and entered one of the classrooms, some friends at the time I knew were in that class as well as an old teacher of mine. I yelled, "hey, this is a dream, were all in a dream and you guys are stuck in school. I have to go, bye" A friend of mine at the time yelled," Your joking, are you serious?!" I fly back home and stare at the house and it was on fire, the fire dept had been there and taken care of the fire. An old friend of mine from high school was standing in front of my home. He says " hey, isnt that your house? It was was on fire." I tell him, "Yeah, it is and I know, I did that" He said, "why?" I said, "Cause were in a dream" He looks at me tilts his head back and says, "Why do you always know everything, well now Im no longer worried." We just stood there staring at the chared house.

Thank you for sharing your dream with such rich detail. Dreams about one's home often symbolize the self or one’s inner world. The experience of “melting” and then “burning” the house suggests a process of transformation or change occurring within yourself or your perception of your life situation. The act of realizing you are dreaming and stepping through walls can symbolize breaking through limitations or seeing beyond surface appearances—perhaps an awakening or an encouragement to explore possibilities without fear of boundaries. Flying is a common motif associated with freedom, aspiration, and gaining a broader perspective. Choosing to fly over your old high school and finding friends and teachers there could reflect your mind revisiting past lessons, relationships, or feelings connected to a formative period in your life. The friends’ mixed reactions to your acknowledgment of being in a dream might mirror a part of you grappling with awareness versus more conventional or grounded viewpoints. The fire at your house, and the calm acceptance of your friend afterward, can evoke the idea of destruction paired with renewal—letting go of old structures to make way for something new. The presence of the fire department and the friend’s reassurance might suggest support and understanding around these changes. Emotionally, the dream touches on themes of awareness, personal power, transformation, and connection to both past and present relationships. It invites reflection on how you perceive control over your internal landscape and how you relate to others as you undergo shifts in your sense of self or environment. Overall, this dream weaves together exploration, transformation, and the interplay between conscious awareness and subconscious realms—all within the familiar setting of home and personal history.
