Therapy and train

12/8/2025|By Phrenaubulax

This was a nightmare and very frightening- I was in some sort of therapy session with a psychologist except it was totally dark. The therapist pushed me to go somewhere I thought I might die. I screamed out “help!” Next dream I was on a train, it was like a home on the train, and a young homeless woman got on the train and I got very upset at her and wanted her off.

Thank you for sharing your dream. It contains vivid and emotionally charged symbols that can invite reflection on inner experiences and emotional states. The first scene, the therapy session in total darkness, might symbolize a confrontation with unknown or unsettling aspects of yourself or your life. Darkness in dreams often represents uncertainty, fear, or the unconscious mind. Feeling pushed toward a place where you feared death could reflect inner anxieties about change, loss, or a situation that feels threatening to your sense of safety or identity. The cry for help suggests a desire for support or relief amid these overwhelming feelings. In the second scene on the train, the train as “home” can symbolize a journey through life or a particular phase you are navigating. Trains often represent movement, transition, or progression. The presence of the young homeless woman may introduce themes of vulnerability, displacement, or parts of yourself or others that feel unwelcome or difficult to accept. Your upset reaction and desire to have her removed might mirror an internal conflict about compassion, boundaries, or acceptance of aspects that challenge your comfort or security. Overall, this dream seems to explore feelings of fear, vulnerability, and boundaries within the contexts of personal growth and change. It might be inviting reflection on how you navigate challenging emotions and encounters with the unknown or uncomfortable parts of yourself or your circumstances.
