Abandon
Was at this city, I lived there, had just moved there, it was dark and felt like it was always dark but maybe because I was deciding to only go out at night. There were times I was in the day but this place was filled with people that were pretty fake, they just didn't seem like genuine real people and mostly cause of personality but also a lot of them had their hairs dyed and they just kind of lived off each other and what each other did. When I was out in the day I noticed that I was being followed by a lot of people and then I'd see some people coming around me which had just seen me and had the same clothing that I was wearing and it was really strange. I felt followed and I felt watched and that others wanted to be me and live as me through the things I had. I don't know it just felt really fake. I decided to only go out at night because that was when nobody was really out or could follow me. I had a new bike which probably played a part because I had just got a bike IRL and I went to the liquor store. I had nobody to hang out with so I was just going for food and stuff and I thought 'oh I have a long ride back home. I seen a friend on the sidewalk and I asked what she was doing here. She said, "oh I'm going .. " she said somewhere and couldn't remember where. So she left and I ended up at that place that she was I don't know how. I seen her again and she said "oh your here" I said "yeah I don't know how I got here, I'm going to be leaving, I have a long ride home." She said "oh me too, I walked here, she said I live here now." I said "you walked here?! well maybe we could go home together and if you live far I know a place where we could stay in the meantime." She said "ok" I said"meet me at the liquor store once your done, maybe we'll have a drink for old time sake" and told her which one. so I rode my bike back there and decided to just browse around. I knew she wouldn't be long. Decided to leave and walk along the route she would head before heading home. I see her, about a little ways up the block and she was standing there staring at me with her legs spread apart and feet flat on the ground, she was just staring at me. I called to her and said, "are you ok, did you, you uh got your bike, did you get a bike so we could ride back?" and she yelled,"I walked!!" I said "oh. Are you ok?" She said,"I'm tired of walking!! I'm so tired of walking!... aaaaanndd look at my feet!look at my feet." I said, "why did you walk!? Let's go get some shoes." Her feet looked swollen and blistered from afar but I couldn't tell, when I had gotten closer, noticed she just had socks which were puffy on some areas. Got closer and she said, "look at my feet!!" I said snickering uncomfortably, "let's go get some shoes! There's a place right over there that's still open and they sell cheap shoes." And she said,"No! I walked!! but look... I got the bikes." She had my bike and her bike, I don't know how but my bike disappeared from me and she had both of them. I said, "okay" so I walked up to her and said, "ok you had the bikes." she said, "Yeah!.. here, no wait, let me walk with the bikes still" I said, "but your feet just give me a bike and maybe we should go get some shoes." She said, "no I'm fine, I'm fine." So then we ended up at the liquor store, I don't know how. She was really drunk as we were walking there and her tires were flat cause she got a new bike just like mine but hers were flat cause it was new. I said, "you need to get your tires pumped because we're going to have to ride back and look, your feet." She said, "I know what I'm doing" so we went into the liquor store, I don't know if she was getting more alcohol or what but there was a picture of a clown that was carved into this beer poster. I said, "look, look at this" She said, "what about it." I said, "I don't know, looks fresh and I'm afraid, cause I go out at night but I never see anyone out at night." She said, "oh, it's ok." for some reason she now had dyed blond highlighted hair and that scared me more. I said, "ok, we need to go get your bike pumped" I looked at both of the bikes and they were both deeply scratched. She must've scratched them as she was walking them. She had decided to drink before meeting me and was so drunk. I just said well she's drunk but kept it in mind never to tell her anything or meet with me after this but oh well, I guess my mistake. We left the liquor store and she seemed fine after that. Then I told her, common let's go, I know of an abandoned place we can stay at.

This dream evokes themes of identity, authenticity, and connection within an unfamiliar or unsettling environment. The city, cloaked in darkness and populated by people who seem "fake," might symbolize feelings of isolation or distrust in social surroundings. Choosing to go out only at night suggests a desire for solitude or protection from scrutiny, highlighting a tension between wanting to be seen and wanting to remain unseen. The presence of multiple versions of yourself—people dressed like you and seemingly imitating your life—can reflect concerns about individuality and the pressure to conform or be replicated. This motif points to a search for genuine self-expression amid external influences. Your interaction with the friend, who appears confused and physically impaired (blistered feet, flat tires) yet stubbornly insists on walking despite difficulties, may symbolize aspects of vulnerability and resilience in relationships. It could represent an inner dialogue about support, endurance, and the challenges of companionship when both parties are navigating personal struggles. The imagery of the liquor store, the carved clown on the poster, and the friend's changing appearance hint at a mix of humor, unease, and transformation—perhaps suggesting that things are not always as they appear, and that some fears or suspicions are underlying even in familiar places. Choosing an "abandoned place" to stay at together might symbolize a retreat to safety or a pause in a space removed from social expectations, providing a moment of quiet or healing. Overall, this dream can be seen as exploring the complexities of social identity, trust, and self-protection, balanced against the longing for connection and understanding in a world that sometimes feels disingenuous or isolating.
