Ballet Master
I was taking open classes at a prestigious ballet company in a city, possibly NYC. I’m not from NYC, so this was a limited-time activity for myself while traveling. The ballet instructor was an older man, tall, lean, and tan. He had a very serious expression and graying hair. After class, he told me that he had ideas on how to improve my dancing. I agreed to listen, and he started showing me how I can incorporate mindfulness and meditation into dance. This DID improve my dancing. I felt more in touch with my body. Soon, I was doing multiple pirouettes! This takes a bit of a dark turn. My training with the instructor became more intense. He would tie me down to a table and instruct that I pay close attention to certain parts of my body as he touched them. I felt safe because, typically, one of the other dances was also there. A nice boy, brunette, who was also learning about mindfulness. I also continued with the training because it really was helping, and I felt good mentally. One day, I was alone with the instructor after class. I thanked him for teaching me so much, but that I had to travel back home. He didn’t look happy about this, and he crossed the studio to lock the door. He said he’d made too much progress with my training to let me leave. I was like… oh fuck, and I seriously hoped the nice brunette was around to help me. I woke up. This dream kind of reminds me of the story of The Phantom of the Opera.
