Barn and doll warehouse

My wife and I were supposed to go look at this property we we interested in. She was busy at her desk so I went alone and she would meet me there. I drove there and it was daylight out. It was on the edge of the city and it was green and grassy, urban and rural. I pulled in, got out and looked at this barn first. The couple selling the property were pretty hands off and let me wander. The first thing I noticed was the floor of this barn. I’d never seen anything like it. The hard solid wood went deep into the ground and was almost like walking on rock but just soft enough to know you were on wood. The pattern of wood pressed together was rough but intentional. I could tell incredible craftsmanship went into it and that it was made for horses and livestock to walk on it and that it would last forever. The rest of the barn was new and clean and had no animals in it but I was impressed. I became annoyed with my wife who had still not shown up. I called but her phone went to voicemail. I was bummed she was not seeing the place with me. The woman who owned the place showed me the house next to the barn and introduced me to her husband. introduced me to her husband. They were friendly farm people. I talked to the husband about the barn floor and he confirmed all that I had suspected about it. We talked about crime in the area and I looked out a window to see some sketchy places across the street. I said “trouble is out there if you’re looking for it.” But I didn’t think the place was unsafe. He showed me their security system but said they had been having trouble with it and rummaged through some manuals and papers on the wall. I told them I would have to bring my wife back to see the place. I was excited about it. I drove away but decided to wander a bit up a road and hill. The landscape was rolling and the sky was big and blue. I came across these big old ornate buildings. The entrances were these odd glass bubbles with beautiful and intricate theatre curtain draped in symmetrically. There were several of these big buildings, some of them more run down than others with clear plastic over the glass entrances to keep the rain out. I finally drove up around the back of this building to find a main entrance. It did seem like it was sort of secret. I could sense an older woman art collector. This was hers and she held power. I went in and was immediately blown away. This place was an empire or relics. It was vast and many of the rooms had big dolls without faces. They were antiques but there was something very science fiction about it all. My wife sent me a video on my cellphone of some similar place she was at so I started videoing this place as I walked around and sent it to her saying “I think I have you beat.” I was sad she wasn’t with me. I knew she’d love it. I caught a glimpse of the woman that owned the place. She was in a red retro jumpsuit with retro glasses. I wanted to talk to her about getting itchy-O to play there. She disappeared as quickly as I saw her. I wandered through some rooms and ended up outside. There were people who worked there. I now had my overalls on and looked like I worked there. I wondered if I could get back in the way I came out and didn’t want to walk all the way around these massive buildings. I thought about telling the workers I stepped out for a smoke (I don’t smoke IRL) or to take a call. I knew I looked like I worked there but didn’t want to get in trouble because I wanted to do business with this woman that owned this empire.
