I was at work (of course), but outside at the back door with the door popped open. It occurs to me that maybe it should check up on the store, I don't know how long I'd been out there and if I was working with someone. Turned out, I wasn't working with anyone, and there were about four different people in the store, two of which were dancers looking for outfits I think. I started helping them all, asking if they needed anything or asking any questions. They said no for the most part, and soon they were all gone. I'm chilling in between customers when I suddenly hear a loud bang come from outside. Of course I go to check it out, and there's been a car accident directly in front of the store. I'm pretty sure the car that got hit from behind was dark green, but I'm not good at recognizing car models. I looked and made sure both parties were okay, then panicked a little because I could hear and see the gas dripping out of the car, and it definitely smelled like a car accident. I gestured for him to move off the main road if he could, even though i didn't know where he should go. I kinda didn't want him to park in front of the store just in case his car blew up or just caught fire. I went back into the store and dialed 9-1-1. I think it was way less difficult this time since the store phone is a landline. I paced as the operator answered and asked how she could help. I asked if she could send the fire department to my job (i gave the accurate address). She said yes, but that they were all out and in use, so I asked how long would it take approximately to get there. She said about a half hour to an hour and I had no other choice but to just say okay. I was looking back outside and saw people had came to help, bringing jugs of water to dilute the gas on the ground. My favorite coworker and another one that I don't remember was in the office. I don't recall what they were back there for or much of what was said. But they ended up turning on the pc screen for the cameras throughout the store and found that they weren't working. We go to the front of the store and my favorite customers, an older couple who are always super jazzed to come in, were in that day. Me and my coworker talked to them for a little, and when they left, the husband didn't want a hug for some reason so I let it be. They left and we left too. Going around the corner, I found the two cars that got in the accident and their owners - two very gay men. They both didn't seem too phased by the incident. For some reason, the more dark-skinned dude started this elaborate performance with song and dance, and they switched through outfits and makeup and I was absolutely loving it. I'm sure the other guy loved it too, but I never looked over at him to see. We all ended up in a house, and my coworker suggested that we watch this alternate version of a Madea movie where the movie never included anything spiritual in it. It sounded interesting so we all agreed. Dinner had just gotten done and we were all sitting on the couch. There was this very old man there, and he offered me what looked like a popcorn shrimp. I said no about twice, but he kept holding it out to me. Someone looked at me weird and asked why I didn't want it, but I didn't want to just say out loud that it's because the man's fingers were all over it. I eventually took it and ate it. It was still warm, definitely tasted like some sort of fried seafood, and it had the slightest bit of spice. While eating and watching the movie, I realized I was kinda thirsty and no one had drinks. I went to the kitchen and looked in the fridge, and the only thing in there was a mostly gone gallon bottle of Fruit Punch. I made up my mind to go to the corner store and get something to drink for everyone. When I came back to the living room, there was some sort of drag performance in the movie. I danced to the music a little, did a fake lil death drop and kept watching. My mom was beside me and she burped really loud, so I looked at her like I was disgusted. But then I ended up burping and she looked back at me funny and I burst out laughing. There was a moment where something in the act of laughing so hard almost made me burst out into bittersweet tears, but I locked in and just kept laughing on the floor instead of crying. She kept messing around with me while I was on my back struggling to catch my breath in between laughing so hard, and she kept making me laugh harder.
