I tell my family I can only be myself.
I had a dream my mom was at some big birthday bash with a bunch of other moms and they were all hanging out with their daughters. One girl I was flirting with enjoyed it, the other was an elder lady and she I guess grimaced when I did it. My mom acted upset but I told her that I once kept my mouth to myself and now I’m learning to let my feelings out. That it would take time before I learned who I wanted to be, before I reeled any of it in. Right now I said whatever with no filter because it’s new and I’m just proud of myself for speaking up. Then I had another dream where I was supposed to go to some joined party with my friend Kayla. While we waited for it to start I was hanging with my mom, Grammy, sister, and friend at my childhood house. We all sat in my bedroom watching tv. Outside, I saw a few boys fighting, a closer look revealed they had guns so I told everyone to duck down out of sight. One came in the house and looked us over then pulled a gun on my Grammy. I begged him not to and offered him the nutter butter bar I was eating. He looked at it and insisted he get money instead. I tried to fight the gun out of his hands and found it was fake, but still steel and heavy. I pulled him into me and bashed his skull until it caved in and he was dead. Later in the dream I was changing for the party. I left my bedroom door open to do so. I thought all the people in my room were ladies but one man was there and walked closer to me. I barked for him, a notorious creep, to get out and he ran with his hands over his eyes. It was like he got caught doing something he shouldn’t have been doing. I saw my mother smile.
