Bleeding ears

I am intoxicated. It is dark. I want to smoke a cigarette. I take a deep drag while I am lying in bed. Suddenly I hear a loud pop. I see the lighter in my had has broken. It takes me a few minutes to realize, it has burst near my ear and it’s bleeding.
