Transition into Dystopian World

The dream began with my mom, my sister, and I traveling to visit my aunt and cousins. We met them at a horse stable. They all wanted to put pumpkin shoes on the horses. However, this upset the horses and caused them to kick around. One almost stepped on a dog. I was furious, and I practically screamed at my mom to stop. Then, she got furious with me. She got even more furious at me when she saw me eating these pumpkin candies when we visited a craft store. She was like “why are you eating those if you are against the pumpkin shoes?” I was getting extremely frustrated and yelled at her that the two weren’t related at all, but she refused to listen to me. I broke away from my family, and I remember finding some of my friends from college and dance. In town, I witnessed a situation where an autistic man was struggling to walk across an intersection of cars. However, the entire community knew he was autistic and that he meant well. They all stopped driving to let him walk across. Some even got out of their cars to help him home. I was driving with my friends in a car that wasn’t mine, and I was struggling to drive it as it started to rain. I was speeding, and I got pulled over. I was really nervous about the cop, but the scene changed and I was sitting in the passenger seat this time with a friend. I think the cop let us go, but my friends weren’t letting me drive. But my friend was a horrible driver, and it started to rain so hard we couldn’t see in front of us. I told her to pull over. We got to these seemingly abandoned buildings. There was an abandoned McDonald’s, a candy store, and a Chick Fil A. We were both hungry, so we looked inside for some food. We ended up regrouping with the rest of my friends who were already there and waiting for the rain to pass. We ended up starting to play this game of tag. As the rain stopped, we continued on a nearby playground and in an abandoned house. The situation changed a bit, and it became apparent that the buildings were abandoned because we were in an apocalyptic world. Our families were gone due to terrorist attacks, but we had escaped and were living in the abandoned buildings and eating the food in them. After the rain, it was a really sunny day, and we continued to play tag on the playground. We were now of all ages, there were younger kids I knew there and some my age. There was a boy there that I don’t know in real life. I was wearing flip flops, and at the end of the game, I wasn’t sure of the best way to get off of the playground equipment because it was surrounded by puddles. He came up, stepping in a puddle, and lifted me off of the equipment. He didn’t put me down, he started carrying me to the abandoned house we were staying at. I wondered if he had feelings for me, and I started to think I could have them for him. He kind of looked like David from Newsies.
