The Bear

I am at an office event. I am sitting at the table with Anushree and Nac. Anu is also there. They are drinking. Aushree tells she will leave with me. I am wondering why she wanted me to join but I go along. As she gets up I realise she is very drunk and struggling to walk. I hold her but I’m not comfortable to hold her close enough and she falls. I get her back on feel and she asks me to hold her tight. I am walking back home. I am trying to recollect which is my home. I walk through the building looking for the familiar block. I see a lot of men in some kind of similar uniform. I walk past the crowd of them and squeeze through the stairs to reach my tiny flat. Pranoy is also waiting outside, I am wondering if I shud talk to him or will it be awkward. Inside all of my dad’s family is sitting and talking. They are telling that satviks mom came to know of Sruthis love marriage and she was very upset. Everyone was very worked up about it. I found it weird and irritating. There is also a bear in the room. I gave chocolates to everyone including the bear. It is very well behaved. He ate the chocolates and looks at me on what to do about the wrapper. I told him to throw in the garbage and he followed the instructions. I am thinking what are we even trying to do - we are a house living together with a bear! How can we expect everyone would agree to everything
