I had a dream that the world was going to end and I felt I was going to get special powers (like in the book I’m writing) that would stop it. I was at school in a classroom on the top floor looking over a balcony when it happened, a giant wave came crashing into the city, throwing boats and beer cans and people who hadn’t evacuated as it tore through the city streets which were filled with waterways like in Italy. I wanted so badly for my powers to appear but they just didn’t. Eventually the weather stopped and I was left broken up and looking over the edge of the roof top at the mess. The first responders got most people out and I hadn’t done anything, my powers never came, I felt worthless and sad. People were counting on me and I knew they would feel left down, or like I was crazy for thinking I might get super powers. In my second dream I ordered a pizza for pick up and when I went to retrieve it, it was very wrong. I came back another day to try and explain to the girl what happened but we ended up in a fight with both of us getting very mean until we were screaming. I left without my pizza or bike which I forgot there. I went back in to apologize and tell her that I’m so used to letting things happen to me.. something inside me snapped this time. She softened up after I explained myself and asked if I was okay. I started bawling despite my efforts to keep in bottled up and she seemed to understand. I told her I was just fine and left on my bike which she got from behind the counter. It had the name of my college and its colors on it. I left with my pizza.
