For some reason I was back at Seaford interchange but with Everlyn Sampi and apparently she had 2 sisters. We were trying to get these brooms out from these metal cages that had equipment for running the trains (e.g. transformers and stuff). As we were getting one out a security guard came up to us and said “excuse me are you Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander?” I pointed to Everlyn and the others and said they were. Then some other guy around my age came running up the train bridge with who boy who looked about 7 went up to the security guard and pointed to the child saying “He’s not Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander bit is of Indian descent” So we left them to have their own conversation while we eventually got the brooms out and started sweeping the path out of the train station and along the shiraz trail. It was tedious work considering there wasn’t much to sweep off the path but apparently I was really good friends with Everlyn so I was chatting and laughing with her and her sisters while we were doing it and it was fun.
