I had a dream I took a trip to Europe with a group of people, some friends, some family, some I didn’t know. We just got off a train and found ourselves at a small concert where I noticed a girl performing who I used to be around a lot when I was dating my ex and hanging out with his friends. I tried to record a short video of her singing and playing guitar but noticed everyone else was sitting down, so to be respectful I went to find my sister who sat in the back row at this little beachside venue. In the dream my sister was hurt and couldn’t walk on her own. I offered to help but she said she had a nurse friend who knew what she was doing and that I should go have fun. She pointed down to the shore where two doors, both white, floated on the waters surface, closed and seemingly suspended as though they would open into a portal. For one, Pouring from the cracks between door and frame darkness shifted and shadowed while the other was traced in an illuminating gold. At the top of both doors were three lights, green, yellow and red. Before I could get down to the beach I watched from the railing as two twin whirlpools yawned open and began to spin violently. I had to get down there, I could see people gathering and lining up for the next phase of our trip. Behind me There was a big white work truck that I had to crawl over to make it down to the beach but when I hopped on it started moving. The driver took me down to where the rest of my group gathered. My sister was there and thanked the woman driving quietly, as though she didn’t know I was watching intently. As I hoped off the vehicle I saw a pair of glasses someone else left, I wanted to keep them but decided against it incase the real owners came looking for them.
