Digital art 4k scene from a movie: When she fell asleep, she dreamt of multiple parts - walking around town with her uncle, witnessing blue lightening storms with her family, feeling threatened by strangers, navigating through a high school with hidden trap doors, and ending with a rooftop sit in surrounded by fellow students singing songs.

The very long dream: vicious blue lightening, road rage, back in time, back to school, the basement experience, and the roof top sit in.

I had a dream with many parts. First it started with my family. Pt 1: I went out on “the town” with my uncle Eric’s he just moved to town and we wanted to walk around before a show he’d gotten us tickets for. I found myself down by a doughnut shop where I’d left something previously. Because I left something there by accident the shop had promised to give me a free shirt so I told Eric I’d be back and went around the corner to look. To my surprise he followed. I got my free shirt which was Cerulean blue and very cute and was trying on other products, making Eric tell me which was cuter. The shorter fuzzy skin tight dress in pastels or the massive fuzzy crew neck striped yellow and pink with a large doughnut in the middle, I ended up with the dress. Eric had gone off to make a phone call and left me alone when it started to pour. The rain was terrible and came with vicious lightening. I sprinted a few doors down and saw a random stroller left outside with a baby blanket get soaked. I’d run up to a salon and saw a young mother inside holding her wet baby. I knocked on the glass doors until they let me in. She tried to bundle her baby in the wet towel but I stopped her and did my best to dry everything off with towels and a hair dryer. Later I got back to my Grammy’s house. My uncle was telling me about how the show went and I apologized profusely bc so much happened that I forgot about going to it. He didn’t seem upset at all though. Later the next day storms started again while everyone was on the porch. The blue lightening was sure to hurt someone but everyone came inside save for my Grammy who stood on the porch to watch in a silver outfit. We all screamed for her to come back in but she looked peaceful and unconcerned. Later she was inside talking about the massive spiders she let stay around the house. I was scared by them and their long slick black legs. Pt 2: My ex and I were driving down a street that looks like the one my Grammy lives on. It’s been snowing and there’s a thick blanket of white on the ground. Two trucks stop abruptly and we watch the one in front open up to two people climbing out. The truck behind parks and follows suit. To avoid the fight, Micah pulls past both on the wrong side of the road, earning some hateful yells. Apparently these people weren’t fighting, they were friends. Still they shouldn’t have been stopped like they were and had no right to chase us to our apartment. Idk where Micah was but I was home alone when they showed up. I heard a knock and unlocked the door. When it swung open to them I shut it back but the man kicked it in, breaking the threshold so it swung ajar either way. I stood my ground and started scream crying that we had been sure they were about to start shooting or fighting each other so we ran off and that it wasn’t us trying to hurt them and that they were scaring me and would not be allowed in my apartment. Somehow we got them downstairs to an eatery we lived near. The people and I talked over a meat and cheese board. They left all of it and I filled a cup with what was left and snuck it back to my room. I accidentally got soap all over it and washed it off to save the food. Pt 3: I was in some sort of TV series that had gotten dull… I wanted to go back in time before a student jumped off a building and bring him back bc he was the star of the show (this was also my real life though?) I went back in time and remember walking through the halls. I couldn’t tell anyone my secret but I really wanted to. I started in a class that was half off bc an art teacher was the one teaching an English / film course. I almost spilled my secret to my friend next to me but ended up telling her instead that I wanted to skip class. Until our teacher presented the project, that is. We were to watch an old clip and say whether it was 90s nostalgia or new experimental art. We drew pictures of what we saw too. I stayed for class. Later I moved to the cafeteria which was empty. I was with another friend of mine (a coworker irl) and we walked around the empty room. In a broom closet I found a purple trap door. Above it were the words “don’t jump on the door!” But they would change to an invitation to jump. I footed the door, holding it down to reveal the layers of holes beneath, and endless maze of places to fall with colorful borders straight into the darkness. Soha and I jumped and fell floor after floor onto a soft mattress in the basement. I told her I’d been there before, dreamt of the space many times. What was new was the little girl crawling around wanting to play. She was about 10 and really creeping me out. The basement was filled with nicknacks and mysterious items like a Barbie with all its hair torn out and soiled with black stars all over its face. Me and Soha were swinging when I started being mean to the little girl. I didn’t want to play I wanted left alone. She started walking like a possessed demon, neck twisted, moving up the walls with her body arched. Horrific. We tried to run. Penguin and Joker (much older versions who let themselves go) appeared to see what was up. They were disappointed in me and wanted to leave me there. I only escaped whenever they got distracted fighting with each other about which one was my dad. Cops are after me. I realize that this massive change might be what saves the guy that ends up killing himself by the end of the day. I rush out onto the roof and over the protective fence standing on the edge, not realizing what I’m setting everyone else up for. Students fill the halls and they watch me as I’m chased. A few climb out and sit by the edge of the roof threatening to jump if they take me. I was scared at first “if one is saved someone else will jump.” But I realized it was all in protest for me. Every student ended up outside on that roof, we all laid together for hours. Seth was there beside me holding my hand trying to make friends with Sydney, asking if we should do Addy and go to a thrill park. She agreed. We all burst into song “had a bad day” but changed the lyrics, everyone taking turns to be creative and personable. My mom showed up near the end and told me it was time to leave, that she didn’t want to break up what we were doing but dad would be pissed. The crowd awed and I jokingly told them to shut up, fuck him. I told mom she could go but I couldn’t, I’d started the sit in. Slowly, students started to rise granting me permission to leave with them. Then I woke up.
