Spay Your Pets!
...I had been walking in town and I wound up here at this townhouse. My kids were with me and there was some little kids here. It seemed like they were the family of a friend of one of the kids. They had a bunch of sickly kittens and they were everywhere. That some of them were in the house and they're even more outside. The school-aged kids said there were kittens in a bag outside and I just thought it was the ones I'd already seen but he went outside and got a bag out of a hole in the ground. He opened it and there were like 20 kittens in the bag and they all came out. It seemed like that's where they put the kittens overnight to protect them. I was floored. It was sweet that they were keeping him safe but I told the mom, "Dude. you got to get them fixed. You gotta do something." She started saying, "Well, spays-" I interrupted, "I know. They're too expensive. They're like $200." She said, " No. They're $35." " I haven't gotten a spay for $35 in, like, 15 years and that was Dr Guy and he was just good enough to do it cuz he knew I needed help with the colonies." She said, "No, it's 35 and I'll find someone that does it for that. Everybody else is charging too much." I realized she was just being stubborn and expecting to get a spay for 50 $35 which wasn't going to happen without going through a charity. I was like, "But you got a problem now. Maybe you could do a yard sale and get up some money up or get a GoFundMe or give them away or something, something!" I'm a firm believer that there are several answers to every problem. Sometimes the answer isn't what you like but it's an answer. This lady was just being stubborn and was making it worse because she wasn't acting. I'd been outside and I was worried they were going to get in the road and they were so little and sickly. The weird thing was, I would pick them up and the little kittens were super solid but not in a good way. They didn't feel good to hold which is weird because cats are perfect to hold. It's like they weren't made right (or the dream texture was off). Sometime after we left, we got with Aaron and he said something about going swimming at the hotel we were at. He didn't remember that we didn't have a pool at the hotel we were at. I knew the kids would just be disappointed because they now would expect it to swim but couldn't...

Thank you for sharing your dream in such detail. This dream seems rich with symbolic meaning and emotional themes around care, responsibility, and the challenge of addressing problems that feel overwhelming. The setting in a townhouse with both your children and other kids present may represent a community or shared environment where multiple generations and stakeholders are involved. The presence of sickly kittens scattered both inside and outside the house suggests new life or vulnerable situations that require nurturing and attention. Kittens often symbolize innocence, fragility, and potential, and their condition here points to concerns about neglect or insufficient care. The discussion about “spaying” the cats and navigating the costs and stubbornness in addressing the issue may reflect internal or external conflicts around taking responsibility and finding practical solutions. There’s a tension between understanding the need for action and encountering obstacles—whether financial, emotional, or attitudinal—that delay progress. Your insistence on problem-solving and proposing options like fundraisers or charitable assistance highlights a hopeful, proactive stance amidst frustration. The physical sensation of the kittens not feeling “right” in your hands adds a layer of unease, as if something expected to be comforting feels off. This might symbolize subtle anxieties about whether actions taken to protect or care for others are truly effective, or about unseen challenges lurking beneath the surface. Lastly, the conversation with Aaron about swimming in a hotel pool that doesn’t exist brings in a note of disappointment or unmet expectations—perhaps reflecting hopes that cannot be fulfilled in the current circumstances, or the difficulty of reconciling desires with reality. Overall, this dream seems to explore themes of caretaking, confronting challenging responsibilities, and the emotional ups and downs of trying to help vulnerable beings or situations within a community or family. It gently highlights the importance of persistent care combined with practical problem-solving, even when progress feels slow or complicated.
