The Artist
I believe my dream started from what I did last night IRL, I went cycling up the mountains late night to the grocery store which is an hour and 30 minute ride up and down steep hills. I got home by midnight and immediately fell asleep. My dream started with me doing the same thing I did, the end of my experience, getting home then going to bed then going to sleep in my dream. I woke up and was still home but I left my house and setting outside was like an amusement park. The roads were different, they were all concrete and just like an amusement park there were different buildings all around. I walked around to check it out, I was curious. I had the same gear on I wore to ride my bike, my hoodie, shorts and boots. walking around I came across different shops and eateries. I went into this restaurant and they had pizza so I ordered some vegan pizza. I left and found a washroom, it was behind another restaurant so you had to go through the restaurant in order to get there. I began to wash up. I went back to the other restaurant to get my pizza. scene jumps and it's the next day. Doing the same thing, walking around I decide to go into the same place and this time it's packed. Im noticing there's people I recognize from school, the past and past workplaces and they have their babies and they're with their parents and are staring at me. I think theyre talking about me because I could see them whisper and look my direction cause they know me. People from my Facebook, people I've known from work, coligues, schools different places I've met people. There's a group of girls in the pizza place and I don't know them at all but they look young, just out of high school or just finished highschool and most of the bystanders are people I have seen before, old bosses even. The girls look around and one says, "how come nobody's looking at us! You notice that?! Nobody is looking at us today" In my head I'm thinking, I feel the opposite. None of these people I knew of were saying hi to me, which is fine I prefer to be left alone, I don't even know why they were there cause I live closer. I order another pizza, there's a guy I believe the manager and he asks if I know anybody here. I tell him no because I dont want to talk about my past but I do see a guy walk in and he looks like he's from a band I like and I tell him, "oh there's one person here" he asks, "who" I say "there's a major artist I like and the singers here, I believe he's him at least he looks like him." He says, "oh!" I point to him and say, "Don't say I mentioned it but could you ask him if he's an artist and what he does, I want to know if it's him." I leave and go to the washroom and before I go in I look at the restaurant that's before it. I look at their menu and just stare at it cause I'm curious. I decide I'm not going to go to the washroom, leave again and decide to walk around again. I noticed the artist from that band is outside too and he's staring at me with a look like he knew I told the guy something and had a look that seemed to gesture 'why did you do that.' I walk back into the other restaurant for the pizza again and just stand there. The Artist follows me. I felt I was being watched so I leave the restaurant again and start walking fast slightly bumping into objects and people with my shoulders. I walk towards the other restaurant and continue walking fast, there's a lot of things to get by while walking there. I look back and he's following me rapidly. As I continue, I could feel him still follow me, look back and he is. I get to the other restaurant and the other restaurant owner which is making my pizza is in there and says, "oh I've been looking for you, your foods ready" I tell him, "oh I was just in there, I didn't know you had my food." he says, "yeah you have to go back." I turn around to go and the artist is in front of me, face to face. The man telling me about my pizza says, "oh, there's the guy, this is the girl I was telling you about." The Artist looks at him then at me and says, "oh, I'm not that person." The Pizza man says, "oh but you said" the artist shakes his head and the Pizza man says, "oh, ok, I'm going to go" and he leaves. I look at him and I say, "your not, you look like someone I think I've seen before, do you like music?" he says, "oh yeah" then starts dancing to salsa music playing in the restaurant then says, "do you want to dance with me?" I just start dancing with him. He then says,"ooh this is going to be fun." I say, "Yeah ok... I have to go get my pizza" He begins to follow me but at the same time feel hes not there headed to where I'm going. I look around and all the people who were there, familiar faces, they're frantic running around fast and a lot are in single file lines. I hear a girl who has a baby say, "oh, why do we have to go inside, why are they treating us like this, why do we have to go to our rooms?" They're all in single file lines like a field trip. They're being taken to these dorm rooms. I wasn't forced to do anything cause I live alone, don't live with family and wasn't traveling. Their families were telling them to listen, meanwhile I'm being followed by this guy who is also alone or Independent. I go into get my pizza and nobodys in there, it's completely empty and nice, which was how I thought it would be initially.
