Coastal Trip - kid and kitten

In this dream, I was traveling with a friend who had a young baby. Over the course of the trip, I became very attached to the child and spent much of the dream caring for them. My friend was often busy with other things, so I naturally took on the role of watching the baby, and we got along very well. The trip involved a lot of driving and exploring. We visited huge stores that felt like giant versions of IKEA and spent hours wandering through them. At some point, a small kitten appeared and began following us wherever we went. The kitten became part of our group and traveled with us for the rest of the dream. A man also joined us along the way. He needed a ride to another destination, and although he was not someone I recognized from real life, he felt familiar. He seemed like a recurring dream character who occasionally appears in my dreams. He traveled with us for quite some time. Much of the drive took place along a beautiful coastal highway. There were cliffs overlooking the ocean, wide open fields, and breathtaking scenery. One of the most memorable sights was a series of enormous frozen waves. Below the road were vast shallow fields covered in water, and the water was apparently so cold that giant waves had frozen in place. The frozen waves towered above us as we drove past, creating an incredible and surreal landscape. Throughout the journey, we stopped at small museums and rest areas. Most of the museums seemed forgotten or rarely visited, giving the feeling that we had discovered hidden places that few people knew about. Many of the exhibits focused on nature, and we spent a long time wandering through them. Later, we left the road and followed a trail along the cliffs. As we descended a series of switchbacks toward the water, we saw an enormous procession of ships moving through the ocean below. There were warships and vessels from many different countries, all beautifully decorated and impressive to watch. However, the weather suddenly changed. The ships turned around and headed back the way they had come, while rough waves began crashing against the shoreline. People farther down the trail were being hit by the rising water, so our group decided to turn back and find another route. The new path crossed a flat coastal marshland. Unlike the cool weather from earlier, this area was sunny and intensely hot. The baby fell asleep in my arms, and I carried them for much of the day, keeping them shaded from the sun. The kitten was struggling with the heat as well, so I found myself caring for both of them. The trail seemed endless, stretching for miles and miles, like one of those famous hiking routes that would take nearly a year to complete. Eventually, we arrived at another museum and rest stop. Unlike the earlier locations, this one was full of people. Everyone gathered at a restaurant and wanted to play a card game, but for some reason I wasn't interested. Instead, I stayed with the child, and we ended up taking a long nap together. The dream carried a very peaceful feeling during this part. When we resumed our journey, the trail led into vast cornfields. We had been warned not to enter the fields, but the kitten suddenly ran off toward them. I managed to catch it before it disappeared. As we continued walking, night fell and the sky filled with countless stars. The stars were incredibly bright and beautiful. The dream ended with me carrying the child while looking up at the night sky. There was a feeling of peace and quiet companionship as we continued our journey beneath the stars.
