Diet Coke or relationship

I was in a movie theater with my dad and suddenly I needed to drink Diet Coke but I couldn’t open it in the theatre cause first release of carbonation would be too disruptive so I step outside and the person behind the ticket desk who looked like AK friend w/ HF and AE was saying something like “really you had to interrupt your time with your dad for Diet Coke. You couldn’t even wait.” Then there was a turn and talk moment in the theatre and this little kid was talking about how he liked the gold on my dads glasses and a woman chimed in and said she was surprised bc she didn’t strike him for a gold guy. After coming back from my DC break he asked me if I wanted to go to Japan,8 days sure he said to find a ticket or range of days of cheap ticket prices so he’d buy one for me. He told me he’s going with his best friend but I was like…so you’re buying me a separate ticket cause you don’t wanna go as a group but just two buds?
