Swimming across the lake

I was on an island I suppose bc the only way back to the main land I was trying to get to was by boat. Setting: kinda dark and gloomy with low clouds or light fog everywhere. Trees 🌲 everywhere. By myself. I started walking down to the end of the dock and stared at the water. I looked around and noticed that there were no boats or canoes 🛶 to get across the water. I thought that I could probably swim across, it didn’t seem that far of a swim. I started swimming and about halfway I was getting tired and saw a boat heading towards me. It was some family friends so I yelled and told them to pick me up. I don’t quite remember what happened next but I don’t think they stopped and I ended up latching on to the side of their boat... thennnn I made to the land and I was with people. Talking with them, and I guess we decided to swim back to the island. I think I was with kids because I remember thinking that I had to watch everyone and make sure nobody went out of my sight and drowned or something. I remember feeling anxious/panicked bc I couldn’t keep track of everyone and I think I woke up after that.
